The experienced angler and novice fisherman alike will both enjoy fishing our Canadian Shield Lakes. Our various lakes feature Ontario Canada Walleye Fishing, Northern Pike, White Fish, Perch, and Lake Trout.

Lures and Bait:
No live minnows or leeches can be taken across the border into Ontario. Nightcrawlers (in artificial soil) are allowed. For your convenience live minnows are available at the lodge. A couple of points to ponder: we have lots of minnows at the lodge; leeches SHOULD be reserved ahead of time since we do not have large quantities of them; and, we generally do NOT have nightcrawlers. Note: If you travel thru Manitoba, no live bait is allowed.

Walleye: Fuzz-e-grubs, leadheaded jigs, road runners, rapalas, spinner rigs, and some of the northern pike lures listed below. Colors should include hot pink, lime green, yellow, orange, white, and black.

Northern Pike: Daredevils, five-of-diamonds, red eyes, rattlin’ raps, mepps spinners, rapalas, spinner baits, buzz baits, and crank baits.

Lake Trout: Sutton spoons, Canadian wiggler, K-B spoon, Swedish pimple, Dr. Spoon, leadheaded jigs.

Depth sounders are very useful in these lakes because they do contain a lot of structure.
